Having a small business

Ever get to the point that you feel as if having either a full-time job or part-time job isn't enough, I did. I looked into doing a job I could love, one with my own schedule.
Well I have always been in love with books. Yes I was the one who always carried a book with her, especially as a child.

What I didn't know was there is a company you could join for selling children's books. Anything from baby to young teens.
Yes you had to purchase a kit, but it does work out in the end. There is no minimum of how much you must sell each month. And you get 25% of whatever you sell. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

So I joined the beginning of June, I do have some regular customers too. Always on the look for new customers and anyone interested in joining the team as well.

Usborne

And when joining my VIP page on Facebook, I am always offering specials such as tax free, percentages off your order, and free shipping

New Pet

So I been trying to get a small pet for myself and Claudia. However since we still live with my parents anything we get has to go through them.

I have had hamsters, gerbils, parakeet, and even a rat in the past. I wanted to get two rats, but my mother quickly turned that idea down.

So we got a Guinea Pig. Something I have yet to own yet. Did a lot of research and talked to two friends whom both own them.

I told Claudia we were getting a piggie. She was very excited. However her thoughts of getting a piggie was an actual pig.

My friend had given us an old cage she had, Inclusing the food dish, hay holder, water bottle, and lil bathroom area. Guinea Pigs are different rodents from the rest. They are to always have hay in their cage because they are grazes. Also they get a variety of fresh veggies every day. A cup at the most, so I had divided it by breakfast and dinner.

So I'd like to introduce you to Skye. We got her on Monday, and yesterday evening Claudia and I decided on a name for her.

Tonsils

So last Monday (9/11) Claudia got her tonsils and adenoids removed. We chose not to tell her until we got there, due to we know she would freak out. Grandma went over things with her as I answered questions for the nurse.

The nurses were all real good with her, she got her picture taken before surgery, was given a teddy bear, and got to chose a scent to go in her mask as well as decorated it with stickers.

She wanted Meemaw to go in with her to hold her hand until she was out. The procedure took about an hour and then maybe a 30 minute wait til they let us back into recovery.

We had purchased a new baby doll who went with Claudia. The nurse offered to give it a bracelet also but Claudia said she didnt need one. They had it down on her feet during surgery.

Waking up took a lil bit. She gave us a scare twice when her oxygen levels went down.

She was in the emergency room three days later due to dehydration and learned she had an upper respiratory infection.

It has been a week since surgery, she is still off school this week. And today had half a donut which is a big deal because she hasnt been eating

Labor Day Weekend

Well the holiday weekend has ended. Friday started to getting Claudia to school. I headed over to my sisters house. Was able to play with my two year old nephew Austin and we attempted in helping with fall decorations. In other words we threw around the fake leaves.
Our friend Heather stopped over with her two youngest ones. Emma is three and Alex is two. We all had grilled cheese for lunch and Heather and I got our hairs cut. The kids usually play well but they were just being brats.

Saturday was sleep in day, at least for me. Claudia and my parents went to visit the campers club for a cookout. Myself on the other hand was stuck going to work. It didn't go too bad, but we were short handed. Came home and had left over pizza for dinner and watched all of Descendents 2.

Sunday wasn't a fun day. Claudia had an accident overnight and ended up complaining of a sore throat and starting a fever. Not what any mom wants to hear, especially when you're daughter is to have surgery the following week. No dinner was planned, kind of disappointed.
Monday was the official holiday. Claudia was still running a fever and had lost her voice. I had to leave for work and my parents would take her to the emergency room. Well because I wasnt there due to her insurance being in my name they would not treat her without my verbal consent and instead of calling my work place, they called my cell.

So needless to say my weekend wasn't the greatest. Claudia is still sick but I finally got her to eat something. And Macey has been a very good helper and cuddler

Introduction

Hello everyone, I guess my first post should be introducing myself.

My name is Sarah and I'm 35 years old. My five year old daughter Claudia and I live in Sheffield Lake, Ohio. I am a single parent and work part-time at Kohls along with my new business as being a consultant for Usborne Books and More.

I am working on getting a full-time job or perhaps a second part-time job. I am also trying to get Claudia and myself our own place.
Claudia is a very independent, smart girl. She knows how to voice her opinion and to wrap people around her little finger, She is currently a kindergartner. Her favorite color is purple, she loves to be read to, and loves to play. Her favorite foods are mac-n-cheese, chicken nuggets, and ice cream bars.

We are working on saving for a trip to Disney World as well. Whether it just be the two of us or perhaps having some friends go as well.

So either way this is my life, nothing real exciting yet.
