Halloween and Friendsgiving

Sorry I haven't been active. So much has been going on.

Took Claudia down to Coshocton for the day to Roscoe Village. My sister and I have gone every year growing up to the Apple Butter Festival. It was something we always looked forward to. Now we can both pass that experience on to our kids.

Halloween came and went. It was a good day, low fifties, but no rain. Claudia's cousin, Avah had joined us for trick-or-treat along with her mom and moms boyfriend. The girls managed to do two streets, Avah had told her mom she was tired and Claudia and I did half of another block.

They were both happy with the amount of candy they received.

I also had a job interview at a new place. I wasn't giving my hopes up and was still happy to stay with Kohl's if I didn't get the job. It was a full-time position, benefits, making more then what I do now, and working Monday thru Friday. The day after my interview I received the call asking if I was still interested, so of course I said yes.

This year Adrienne decided to have a Friendsgiving with some of our girlfriends. My sister and her boyfriend were in charge of the turkey and mashed potatoes, Heather was in charge of rolls and corn,
Misty made two pumpkin pies, Amber and her boyfriend Jon brought homemade stuffing, and I was in charge of broccoli casserole, mac-n-cheese, and a chocolate cream pie. The girls played nicely in the bedroom, some tiny spats of one or the other being bossy, but still behaved. And Austin hung out with us and played with his garbage trucks and trains.

We ended the night with playing Heads Up, a free app on Android phones created by Ellen. IPhones have to purchase.

Pets

Growing up I have always loved animals. Having owned dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, gerbils, parakeets, and a rat in the past. Yet I was the one who always tried to bring home animals also such as a baby turtle and a garden snake.

Tigger is 19 years old old and I had purchased her for my mom for Mother's Day.

Macey is 8 months old, we adopted her from Friendship APL back in March.

Trouble belongs to my dad. She is 17 years old and defiantly lives up to her name

And Skye is only 2 months old. Claudia picked her out personally and it did take a few days for her to name her.

Skye

Happy piggie!!
So we have had Skye now for a week and one day. I read so much about how it takes months to have your guinea pig trust you. Well I believe it is safe to say she bonded wirh us rather quickly. Today she started to climb on my shirt just to nuzzle my neck.
Claudia is still getting used to having a small pet. She is learning to properly pick her up. Now if I can get her to help clean her cage.

Having a small business

Ever get to the point that you feel as if having either a full-time job or part-time job isn't enough, I did. I looked into doing a job I could love, one with my own schedule.
Well I have always been in love with books. Yes I was the one who always carried a book with her, especially as a child.

What I didn't know was there is a company you could join for selling children's books. Anything from baby to young teens.
Yes you had to purchase a kit, but it does work out in the end. There is no minimum of how much you must sell each month. And you get 25% of whatever you sell. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

So I joined the beginning of June, I do have some regular customers too. Always on the look for new customers and anyone interested in joining the team as well.

And when joining my VIP page on Facebook, I am always offering specials such as tax free, percentages off your order, and free shipping

New Pet

So I been trying to get a small pet for myself and Claudia. However since we still live with my parents anything we get has to go through them.

I have had hamsters, gerbils, parakeet, and even a rat in the past. I wanted to get two rats, but my mother quickly turned that idea down.

So we got a Guinea Pig. Something I have yet to own yet. Did a lot of research and talked to two friends whom both own them.

I told Claudia we were getting a piggie. She was very excited. However her thoughts of getting a piggie was an actual pig.

My friend had given us an old cage she had, Inclusing the food dish, hay holder, water bottle, and lil bathroom area. Guinea Pigs are different rodents from the rest. They are to always have hay in their cage because they are grazes. Also they get a variety of fresh veggies every day. A cup at the most, so I had divided it by breakfast and dinner.

So I'd like to introduce you to Skye. We got her on Monday, and yesterday evening Claudia and I decided on a name for her.
